Preliminary Information for 2026 Korean Economic Review (KER) International Conference 

The Korean Economic Association (KEA) is pleased to provide preliminary information for the 2026 KER International Conference, which will be held as follows:

Dates: June 22-23, 2026
Venue: Halla Convention Center and Maison Glad Jeju Hotel, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, South Korea

Submission for the conference remains open until April 5, and the program will be fixed thereafter. Since Jeju is a very popular destination in June, we believe that providing some advance information about the conference will help potential participants with their travel arrangements. The conference is scheduled to begin at around 2:00 PM on June 22 and conclude at around 4:00 PM on June 23. The detailed program will be released in late April, and registration will open then too. As flight availability may be limited in late April, we advise participants to make travel reservations as early as possible.

KEA plans to support participants financially, as follows: 
- Presenting participants will be provided with round-trip airfare (for domestic flights) and one night of hotel accommodation (double occupancy; single occupancy is available at an additional cost).
- Non-presenting participants will be provided with one night of hotel accommodation (double occupancy; single occupancy is available at an additional cost).
- Accommodation: Maison Glad Jeju Hotel, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, South Korea

There are two ways to make flight reservations. 
Individual booking followed by reimbursement (for presenters only)
Presenters may book domestic flights independently and receive reimbursement afterward. KEA will reimburse up to KRW 200,000 per presenter for the round-trip airfare.
Booking through a designated travel agency 
With the aid of a designated travel agency, KEA has secured a limited number of seats on flights that are conveniently scheduled for the conference. Once the conference program is made available, we will circulate a Google Form for registration, in which participants may request flight reservations through the travel agency. Requests will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. KEA will pay the travel agency directly for presenting participants’ airfare (while non-presenting participants will need to cover their expenses). The secured seats are for the following flights:  
June 22: Gimpo → Jeju / Korean Air KE1055 (Departure 09:25 → Arrival 10:40)
June 23: Jeju → Gimpo / Korean Air KE1294 (Departure 18:15 → Arrival 19:30)

Participants are encouraged to choose the option that best suits their convenience.

As for accommodation, we will provide detailed information on Maison Glad Jeju Hotel when registration opens in late April.

[국제학술대회 사전 안내 우리말 메일]

안녕하십니까. 본 학회가 6월 22일(월)부터 23일(화)까지 제주특별자치도 한라컨벤션센터와 메종 글래드호텔에서 개최하는 <2026 KER 국제학술대회>와 관련하여 사전 안내를 드립니다.

학술대회를 위한 논문 제출은 4월 5일까지 진행되며, 이후 프로그램이 확정될 예정입니다. 학술대회가 열리는 6월에 제주 지역은 여행성수기이므로 참가를 희망하시는 회원 여러분들이 원활히 준비할 수 있도록 학술대회에 대해 미리 안내를 드리게 되었습니다. 학술대회는 6월 22일(월) 오후 2시에 시작하여 23일(화) 오후 4시에 종료될 예정입니다. 세부 프로그램은 4월 말에 공지될 것이며, 학술대회 등록도 그때 이루어질 것입니다. 4월 말에는 항공권 확보가 어려울 수 있으므로 참여를 희망하시는 경우 사전에 항공권을 예약하시기를 권장드립니다.

많은 회원 여러분들이 학술대회에 참여할 수 있도록 본 학회는 참가자들에게 다음의 사항을 지원할 계획입니다. 
- 발표자: 왕복 국내항공권 및 호텔 1박 지원
- 비발표 참가자: 호텔 1박 지원
- 숙소: 메종 글래드 호텔 제주

항공권 예약은 다음 두 가지 방법으로 가능합니다.

(1) 개별 예약 후 실비 정산 (발표자에 한함)
발표자는 개별적으로 항공권을 예약한 후 사후 정산을 받을 수 있습니다. 왕복 국내항공권 비용으로 발표자 1명당 최대 20만 원까지 지원됩니다.

(2) 지정 여행사를 통한 예약
본 학회는 여행사를 통해 학술대회 일정에 편리한 항공편 좌석을 일부 확보하였습니다. 학술대회 프로그램 공지 이후 등록을 위한 Google Form이 배포될 예정이며, 그 양식에 여행사를 통해 항공권을 예약하도록 신청할 수 있을 것입니다. 확보된 좌석이 많지 않아 예약은 선착순으로 진행됩니다. 발표자의 항공권 비용은 학회가 여행사에 지급하고, 비발표 참가자는 직접 여행사에 결제해야 합니다. 학회에서 확보한 항공편은 다음과 같습니다.
- 6월 22일: 김포 → 제주 / 대한항공 KE1055 (출발 09:25 → 도착 10:40)
- 6월 23일: 제주 → 김포 / 대한항공 KE1294 (출발 18:15 → 도착 19:30)

참여를 계획하시는 경우, 위 두 방법 중 편리한 방식으로 항공권을 예약하시기 바랍니다.

학술대회 지정 숙소인 메종 글래드 호텔 제주 예약에 대해서는 4월말에 등록을 시작하면 안내드리도록 하겠습니다.
