The announcement at the G20 meeting in Pittsburgh acknowledges the shift in global economic power and the promise to re-align quota shares and voting rights to developing countries. With these changes there is hope that we may raise the level of representation of Korean citizens among our Staff to acknowledge Korea's extraordinary economic progress. The Fund seeks applications from Korean citizens who are PhD educated macro economists.
To achieve this the Fund is sending a recruitment mission to Seoul (October 30th) and Busan (November 2nd). If you are interested in meeting with the interiewing panel in Korea please send your applications direct to tvacher@imf.org by October 23rd.
