Recently, the Korean Government has constantly strived for the improvement
on the corruption perception in the public sector by launching Bureau for
Corruption elimination in 2014 and establishing Anti-bribery and graft act in
2016. But, there is the low level of the corruption perception among people.
KIPA (the Korean Institute of Public Administration) has conducted the survey
of the trends of public sector corruption in Korea since 2001, and this study is
based on the survey in 2015. Results show that age, education, and income of
people are associated with trust in government and equality of law enforcement
which have an influence on the corruption perception in the public sector.
